Duquesne University

Duquesne University is a top Catholic University in Pittsburgh. BME/BSN Dual Degree - With 206 total credits required, this Biomedical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Nursing program allows students to obtain both degrees in five years. It is the nation’s first dual-degree program in BME and BSN.

Master of Science in Nursing - BSN-prepared nurses can obtain their MSN degrees in an online study. Different specializations are available to cater to student’s various goals and interests. The specializations are: Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP, Family (Individual Across the Lifespan (NP), Psychiatric-Mental Health NP, Nurse Leadership and Health Care Management, Forensic Nursing, and Nursing Education and Faculty Role. These specializations are also available as post-master’s certificates.

Doctor of Nursing Practice - This DNP program is a clinical-focused practice degree and is offered in several specialization tracks. Depending on a student's professional goals and interest, they can choose between Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP), Doctor of Nursing (DNP) in Clinical Leadership, and DNP in Executive Nurse Leadership and Health Care Management. The latter has post-bachelor’s and post-master’s entry options.

PhD - The PhD program at Duquesne University is offered online and has two specializations—Nursing Program and Nursing Ethics. The PhD in Nursing Program has three-year and four-year options with the former requiring 10 credits per semester, and six credits for the latter. Meanwhile, the PhD in Nursing Ethics has a four-year completion.
