Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Southeastern LA university offers four options for obtaining a BSN degree. The first option is the four-year program inclusive of prerequisites of 60 hours. An 18-month Alternate Track Nursing Program is also available for students with previous bachelor’s degrees. Students with an LPN license can enroll in the LPN to BSN curriculum. Lastly, the one-year RN to BSN option is designed for registered nurses.
Master of Science in Nursing Program - To offer flexibility for working individuals who would like to obtain an MSN degree, the theory-based courses are conducted online. Three concentrations are available for this program-- Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Nursing Education.Â
Post-Master’s Certificate Programs - The Post-Master’s Certificate Programs in Southeastern are Louisiana State Board of Nursing- approved and are offered through the Intercollegiate Consortium for a Master of Science of Nursing affiliation. Two certifications are available—the Adult Nurse Practitioner to Family Nurse Practitioner and the Nurse Practitioner to Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. The Post Master's Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certificate can be obtained in 14 weeks while Post Master's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Certificate takes 4 semesters.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) - This DNP program is a terminal degree designed for the highest nursing practice preparation. Two entry options are available for this program—The BSN-DNP and the Post MSN DNP. The former requires experience as a registered nurse with a BSN degree while the latter requires a Master of Science in Nursing degree.
