Nursing (BSN) - With 120 credit hours required, this program prepares nurses for the NCLEX-RM and for their roles as professional nurses. It is delivered on-campus, with direct clinical practice for five semesters. Students also gain hands-on experiences through the university’s Clinical Nursing Simulation Center which houses high-fidelity manikins and suites that resemble a real hospital room. Moreover, students who possess a baccalaureate degree in another degree can obtain a BSN degree through the Accelerated BSN option. Unlike the traditional BSN program, this accelerated option is offered 100% online excluding the residencies and clinicals. Meanwhile, LPNs seeking a BSN degree can also do so through the LPN to BSN program.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) — Nurse Practitioner - Offered completely online (except for the required residences and clinicals), this program equips nurses with the competencies needed for improved patient outcomes. Students can choose between these three concentrations—Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care, and Psychiatric/Mental Health. Meanwhile, these concentrations are also offered in the RN to MSN entry option and in the post-graduate APRN certificate program. The former is designed for RNs with associate degrees who are seeking an MSN degree.

Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) - With completely online coursework, this program offers flexibility for working individuals. Courses are in 12-week duration, and there are multiple annual starts. This terminal degree in nursing is designed for baccalaureate-prepared nurses.  Being an accelerated program, it can be completed in as few as two years or less (six terms).

PhD in Nursing - Similar to the DNP program, the PhD in Nursing program is offered completely online with 12 weeks duration for courses. However, this doctoral program is focused on research. In terms of admission, it has two annual starts.

In fact, its Department of Nursing has several programs accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The said department has a strong clinical focus with personalized attention for its students.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - With 127.5 credits required, this program provides eligibility to sit in the NCLEX-RN licensing exam. The curriculum includes nursing and liberal arts courses. Simulations conducted at the university’s state-of-the-art laboratories start as early as the sophomore year. Students are prepared for patient-centered care and evidence-based nursing care provision. They are also able to use informatics in the practice of their profession.

Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN) - The Family Nurse Practitioner track at University of Scranton is offered as a master’s degree or a post-master’s certificate program. The former is designed for baccalaureate-prepared nurses which requires 36-credits. Meanwhile, the latter is for masters-prepared nurses, and requires 27 credits. Students are fully-equipped to provide direct patient care. Whether it is the certificate program or the master’s degree program, a clinical practicum of 875 hours is required

Executive Nurse Leadership (MSN) - This 30-credit program is designed for baccalaureate-prepared nurses seeking an MSN degree. Students are prepared to function as leaders in the ever-changing healthcare climate. A capstone experience of 125-clock hour executive nurse leadership practicum is required in the program.

Post-Master's -- Leadership (DNP) - With a hybrid coursework delivery, this 30-credit full-time program can be completed in 21 months. It is designed for master’s-prepared nurses seeking a DNP in Leadership degree.  For each of the five semesters, students are expected to take six credits (two courses). Aside from the full-time study availability, a part-time option is also offered.

Nurse Anesthesia (DNP) - Baccalaureate-prepared nurses can obtain their DNP in Nurse Anesthesia through this 83-credit program. With 36 months completion, this rigorous program is designed to be taken full-time. Combination of simulation, didactic coursework, and clinical experiences are utilized in order to prepare students to become Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.

Founded in 1863, La Salle University is a Catholic educational institution located in Philadelphia. The programs in La Salle University are founded in experiential, innovative and evidence-based practice. The university’s baccalaureate and master’s degree in nursing as well as its DNP and post-master’s certificate programs received full accreditation from CCNE. Moreover, the university houses the Nursing Learning Resource Center (NLRC) wherein students can gain practical skills such as IV and feeding tube insertion.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)- With a full-time course of study, this traditional, day BSN program prepares students for the NCLEX-RN licensing exam. Before taking major courses in the second year of the program, students must first complete the prescribed core and support courses worth 34 credits. The curriculum places emphasis on innovative and evidence-based nursing practice. Moreover, students have the opportunity for clinical experiences in various healthcare settings including the Neighborhood Nursing Center. Meanwhile, its part-time evening/weekend program which is the Achieve Program requires 58 credits prior to taking nursing major courses. Moreover, an Accelerated RN to BSN program is also available for registered nurses. Lastly, an RN-BSN to MSN accelerates through an RN-BSN program allowing students to enroll in graduate-level courses while completing his/her BSN.

Master of Science in Nursing - Several specialization tracks are offered for students taking up an MSN degree at La Salle. These tracks cater to their varying professional goals and interests. The said tracks are: Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist, Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL), Nursing Administration, Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Public Health Nursing. Dual degrees in Nursing Administration/MBA and Public Health Nursing/Master of Public Health (MSN/MPH) are also offered. Meanwhile, an RN to MSN Bridge Program is designed for RNs with non-nursing bachelor’s degrees who are seeking an MSN degree.

Post Baccalaureate Certificate Programs - La Salle University offers post-baccalaureate certificates in School Nurse and Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education. The former prepares baccalaureate-prepared RNs for initial certification as school nurses. Meanwhile, completion of the latter provides eligibility to sit in the WOCNCB examination.

Doctor of Nursing Practice - Post-Master’s Program - This Post-MSN DNP program is offered on a part-time or full-time study basis with 3 credits and 6 credits per semester respectively. Aside from Master’s-prepared nurses, CNS, CRNA, NP, and other Advanced Practice Nurses can also apply in the program.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)- Post- BSN Nurse Anesthesia Program - This Post-BSN DNP program can be completed in 51 months. It is a practice-focused program with at least 500 clinical hours and individualized curricular plans.  Program graduates are conferred a DNP degree and will be eligible to take the National Exam for the NBCRNA certification.

Founded in 1925, Gannon University is a four-year Catholic, Diocesan educational institution in Erie. Its programs are grounded on the liberal arts and sciences with emphasis on faith-based learning. The university’s Villa Maria School of Nursing has an impressively low student to faculty ratio of 10:1. Students will gain at least 980 hours of hands-on experiences while in the program. The department also has a Patient Simulation Center. In terms of accreditation, its nursing programs have received approval from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing since 1953. Its baccalaureate and master’s degree programs in nursing, as well as its post-graduate APRN certificate programs are CCNE-accredited.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing - With accreditation from ACEN since 1965, this rigorous program prepares students for their roles as registered nurses. Meanwhile, registered nurses can obtain a BSN degree through the online RN to BSN program. The said program has 7 semesters. School Nurse Certification - This School Nurse Certification Program is for individuals seeking to apply to the Pennsylvania Department of Education for Level I certification as a School Nurse. To be admitted, they must be registered Nurses who possess a BSN degree. With 11 credits required, it can be completed in as few as two to three semesters. Coursework delivery is conducted online in an asynchronous manner.

Master of Science in Nursing - Two options are offered for this MSN program—Nurse Anesthesia and Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Anesthesia option is designed to fully-equip graduates for specialized roles as nurse anesthetist. Meanwhile, the Nurse Practitioner program is designed for patient care provision across the lifespan. 

Doctor of Nursing Practice - With completion requiring as little as 23 credits, this DNP program is offered as a “bridge” from the MSN to the DNP. It is designed for part-time study with four to six semesters needed. Program graduates are conferred a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.

Named after its location, York College of Pennsylvania is a four-year private college. This coeducational institution is MSCHE-accredited. Its Dr. Donald E. and Lois J. Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Different options for obtaining a BSN degree are offered at York to cater to students’ varying academic credentials. Registered nurses can enroll in the RN to BSN program which allows completion in as fast as 12 months. The said program is offered in both part-time or full-time study, and has three annual start dates. Meanwhile, students not meeting the Nursing major admission criteria can enroll in the Pre-Nursing program.   

Master of Science in Nursing - Several specialization tracks are offered at York’s MSN degrees to cater to student’s various professional goals and interests. The Nurse Educator MSN is a 40-credit program with 224 clinical hours designed for a three-year completion. A 48-credit Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) MSN is also offered and it can be completed in 24-36 months with 672 clinical hours required. Meanwhile, a 41-credit Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AGCNS)- Education Focus MSN is also offered, providing eligibility in the national AGCNS certification exam upon graduation. It has a three-year completion with 504 clinical hours. Lastly, an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner MSN is also offered. Completion of this track provides eligibility to sit in the ‍national AGPCNP certification exam.

Post-Master’s Certificate Program - This certificate program is designed for master’s-prepared nurses who want to further their skills and credentials. Two tracks are offered—Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. The latter provides eligibility to take the national AGPCNP certification exam.

Doctor of Nursing Practice, DNP, Post-Master’s - This 37-credit DNP program is for master’s- prepared individuals. It can be completed in as few as two years inclusive of 336 hours allotted for an evidence-based scholarly project. The program aims to equip nurses with advanced practice skills needed for the highest level of clinical practice.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (Nurse Anesthesia) - With 102 credits required, this DNP in Nurse Anesthesia is designed for a full-time study. It can be completed in 36 months inclusive of 2,000 clinical hours. Classes are held in day-time, on-campus. Program graduates can sit for certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

Edinboro University of Pennsylvania is a comprehensive public educational institution in Edinboro. The university was founded in 1857 and is now one of the distinguished centers of research and learning in the state. Its Nursing Department under the College of Science and Health Professions has accreditations from different agencies. The BSN and DNP programs are CCNE-accredited while the MSN is ACEN-accredited.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) - With 600 hours of clinical practice, this 49-credit program equips nurses for family-focused primary health care provision. Coursework delivery is conducted asynchronously and synchronously online and is taught by skilled clinicians and educators. Program graduates can apply for legal certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing after successfully passing the AANP or the ANCC professional certification exam.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Several options are available at Cedar Crest towards obtaining a BSN degree. The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program allows for a 15-month completion for a full-time study. This 56-credit fast-track program is offered for students who already have a non-nursing baccalaureate degree. Meanwhile, a BSN completion for registered nurses is also available with coursework delivered online.

Master of Science in Nursing - The MSN program at Cedar Crest has various specialty tracks to cater to students’ varying interests and goals. The said tracks are—Nurse Administrator, Nurse Educator, Family/Individual Across the Lifespan Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). Nursing, RN to B.S.N., Completion, Online - This 100% online program is designed for working registered nurses who want to obtain a BSN degree. Part-time and full-time study options are available, with flexible scheduling. With endorsement from ACEN, faculty teaching this program are master’s and doctoral-prepared.

Nursing (A.A.S.) - With small class size, the curriculum of this program places emphasis on hands-on experiences through clinical experiences and laboratory work in specialized labs. Graduates are conferred an Associate Degree in Nursing and are prepared to fulfill their roles as registered nurses.

Nursing, LPN to RN (A.A.S.) - Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) can obtain an associate degree in nursing and become registered nurses in just three semesters through this program. Nursing: Nursing Education Concentration (M.S.N.) Online - With a concentration in Nursing Education, this Master of Science in Nursing Program is offered 100% online. Practical Nursing (A.A.S.) - With 3 semesters of nursing coursework, graduates of this program are eligible to sit in the practical nursing licensing exam. The program has more than 900 hours of hands-on learning, preparing them for work under the supervision of an RN, dentist, or physician.

Saint Francis University (SFU) is a private liberal arts educational institution in Loretto. It is one of the nation’s first Catholic coeducational universities. Its School of Health Sciences and Education houses its Department of Nursing. The said department provides opportunities for hands-on and innovative learning opportunities through its DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness and the New Health Sciences Experiential Learning Commons. The former places emphasis in research and practice integration, while the latter focuses on interdisciplinary collaboration. SFU’s baccalaureate and master’s degree program in nursing are accredited by CCNE.

Traditional Undergraduate Nursing - With full approval from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, this program prepares students for the NCLEX-RN licensing exam. The program features an individualized attention with a student to faculty ratio of 8:1 on clinical sites. Moreover, hands-on learning through simulations is given emphasis in the curriculum.

RN to BSN to MSN - This program features two nursing degree options for registered nurses. With classes conducted online, students can obtain a BSN degree in as little as 11 months. Up to 98 credits are transferable toward the student’s degree.  The curriculum is founded on the AACN Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice.

Masters of Science in Nursing, Online MSN - With small class sizes, this program equips nurses for advanced skills needed in their profession. Students are assigned a faculty advisor throughout the program.
