2022 South Puget Sound Community College Nursing Programs

At South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC), students learn to become caregivers and advocates for those in need, and they do it under the guidance of the most skilled and knowledgeable faculty members. SPSCC was the first nursing college in Washington to adopt the Associate of Nursing transfer (DTA) degree, fully approved by the Washing State Nursing Commission. 

The college takes pride in its high NCLEX-RN pass rates, and rightly so, as they are well above the national average. Students can choose to enroll at the BSN program after completing the prerequisites courses, or they can transfer from other Washington nursing colleges from an ADN degree. The nursing program here is as rigorous as it is rewarding, so students are instructed to not work more than 20 hours while studying in the full-time nursing program.

The highly affordable nursing program teaches the students to communicate effectively, think logically and critically, understand their ethical responsibilities and consequences, and practice as a part of a multicultural world. This education takes place in well-equipped classrooms, high-fidelity simulation labs, and clinical rotations at multiple sites.

Undergraduate Programs: As mentioned above, the college offers two pathways in the Associate Degree in Nursing program; Direct Transfer Agreement and Major Related Program. In addition to the ADN degree that allows them to work as Registered Nurses, the college also offers an Associate in Pre-Nursing program. This course is designed to meet the transfer requirements of the four-year colleges and universities as per the Intercollegiate Relations Commission Handbook.
