Founded in 1875, Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) is a comprehensive public university in Indiana. This research-based educational institution is accredited by the Middle States Association Commission on Higher Education. Its Department of Nursing and Allied Health profession offers high-quality nursing degree programs in various levels.

Nursing, BS - This CCNE-accredited BSN program has various plans of study to cater to student’s current educational credentials. The four-year plan of study is designed for high school students. Meanwhile, LPNs can enroll in the LPN-BSN Plan of Study. A Nursing Honors College Plan of Study is also available. For the four-year option, the first year of the program is spent on science and liberal arts courses with clinicals starting at the first semester of the sophomore year. As for the LPN-BSN track, introductory courses are not required in the sophomore year.

Online Master of Science in Nursing - Students of the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program can choose between two tracks—Administration and Education. With 36 credits required for each of the tracks, the coursework is delivered online. It builds on the students’ competencies while providing the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge needed for advanced nursing practice roles. This MSN program is accredited by CCNE.

Graduate Programs: Health Services Administration, MS – This two-year program requires 36 credits with 18 of these offered from the Department of Nursing and Allied Health Professions, 15 from the Department of Employment and Labor Relations, and the remaining three credits as an elective from IUP. It offers flexibility for working individuals since coursework is offered in a blended format on weekday evenings, on a part-time basis.

Nursing, DNP to PhD - With hybrid online delivery, this 33-credits DNP to PhD program can be completed in 4-5 years. Since the program is offered on weekends, it offers flexibility for working individuals. Students will be equipped with various competencies needed for careers as professor of nursing in colleges, universities, and other academic settings.

Nursing, PhD - With completely online coursework, this 60-credit program can be completed in 4 years, plus dissertation. Being a cohort program, moving the sequence of classes is by group. This set-up allows for a supportive network throughout the program duration.
