Eastern University is a Christian university in St. David's. Aside from its main campus in St. David's, it also has centers in Harrisburg and Philadelphia. The university was initially named Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary when it was founded in 1925. Its programs under the School of Nursing are fully-accredited. Moreover, the said school provides personalized attention made possible through its small class sizes with a student to faculty ratio of 12:1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Programs - Students seeking a BSN degree at Eastern University can do so through any of the following options—traditional 4-year or second-degree. The former is an 8-semester (four-year) program designed for full-time study. Graduation provides eligibility to sit in the NCLEX-RN and practice as a registered nurse.  Meanwhile, the second-degree option is for individuals with non-nursing baccalaureate degrees. This can be completed in as few as two years for a full-time study.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) - With Nurse Educator specialization track, this CCNE-accredited MSN degree is offered completely online. It can be completed in as few as 2 and a half years or 6 semesters. For each semester, students are expected to enroll in 2 seven-week courses. Due to the flexibility of the program, students can maintain employment while being enrolled.

MEd in School Health Services - With coursework delivered fully online, this program has different time completion depending on the student’s educational credentials. Students with school nurse certification can finish the program within 12-27 months, while a 18-39 completion is for non-holders of the said certificate. They can choose between two tracks—School Nurse Certification or School Health Supervisor Certification.

Certification Programs - School Nurse Certification and School Health Supervisor Certification programs are also available at Eastern University. Both are offered fully-online with the former requiring 6-12 months while the latter needing 12-18 months for completion. The programs consist of 12 and 18 credits, respectively.
