Founded in 1929, Carlow University is a Catholic educational institution in Pittsburgh. This private university also has satellite locations in Greensburg and Cranberry. Masters of Science in Nursing - Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Education and Leadership are the available tracks for MSN at Carlow University. The first two tracks can be completed in as few as 28 months, with 49 credits delivered on campus and online. Meanwhile the MSN in Education and Leadership can be completed in 20 months.
Online MSN – MBA Dual Degree - With 3-year completion, this 60-credit program allows students to obtain an MSN in Education and Leadership and adds value to core MBA courses. With coursework fit for working nurses, the curriculum places emphasis on a supportive and learner-centered environment. Review and design of health policy and curriculum, decision-making, and scholarly writing are among the competencies targeted in the curriculum.
Post-Master’s Certificate - Post Master’s Certificate are also offered in Carlow University, with tracks in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. The former requires 35 course credits with 600 clinical hours while the latter requires 36, with the same number of clinical hours. Upon program completion, students are eligible for the respective certifications of each track (WHNP and FNP).
