CUNY LaGuardia Community College
LaGuardia Community College is a part of the City University of New York and is located in Queens. Their ADN program is ACEN accredited. The focus of the program lies in patient care management, effective communication, awareness of the legal and ethical framework of nursing, the ability to deliver quality care to diverse populations, as well as leadership skills. Each student will be provided with an advising team, which is comprised of faculty, professional, and peer advisors. These individuals help with course selection, creating education and career plans, as well as connecting students with campus support services.
There is an LPN to RN advanced standing pathway, through which students can receive 15 total exemption credits. Students may apply for enrollment ahead of each 12 week session. As LCC is part of CUNY, they offer a Citizenship and Immigration service, providing free counseling and assistance to those who may need help with their immigration status.
