The College of Nursing and Health Professions in McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana provides experiential learning. It is offered 100% online without compromising the level of support provided by the department. Doctor or Nursing Practice - This DNP program with concentration in Advanced Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing is offered in a hybrid coursework, with 50-99% of it done online. This arrangement allows employed individuals to earn their degrees while working.  The program can be completed in three years. Graduates will develop patient-centered and evidence-based health care. Moreover, this program is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing, and graduates are eligible to take the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certification examination.
