Chabot College

Chabot College nursing school is located in the Bay Area of northern California in the city of Oakland. It offers an AND degree in Nursing that is fully accredited. The program takes place on campus. The public institution boasts that the faculty has 20 or more years of experience. The majority of RN graduates move on to pursue their BSN degree with the CSUEB bridge program. Students who process a BA/BS degree or higher from a U.S. Regionally Accredited College/University are exempt from Chabot’s specific General Education and graduation requirements. Individuals who have held health care occupations while serving on active military duty in the Armed Forces of the United States and discharged under honorable conditions may be admitted to the Registered Nursing Program on a space-available basis following completion of all required courses.

Undergraduate programs – The ADN program is top ranked in the state of California and is known for a high licensure pass rate. Associate in Science in Nursing is a two-year, full-time program offered in four consecutive semesters excluding summers. Graduates work in a variety of healthcare settings or go on to earn a BSN. The nursing program accepts applications only once a year: each Fall, forty applicants are selected. Application opens November 1 until January 31 for the following incoming fall. The program has a specific course curriculum. Each course must include a lab and earn 4-5 semester units. Fixed courses are in English, sociology, psychology, and communications. LVNs have advanced standing and can enter the LVN-RN Program Upgrade. There are two LVN to RN options: the AS degree or the RN 30 unit non degree.
